From coordinating submittals and RFIs to tracking costs, maintaining documentation, and preparing closeout packages, you’ll help ensure that every detail of a project runs smoothly, on time, and in compliance with both contract specs and company procedures. What You’ll Be Doing Coordinate with general contractors, sub-trades, and suppliers to ensure timely communication and information sharing Review and submit shop drawings and equipment documentation Assist with project startup, training schedules, and job costing administration Track and manage project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, site instructions, and logs Maintain digital and physical project files and documentation systems Use project management platforms (e.g., PCL PDC, Procore) to update and manage deliverables Prepare final close-out packages including as-builts, manuals, test reports, and commissioning records Follow all company health & safety protocols What You Bring to the Table Experience working in a team-based environment; construction experience is a strong asset A degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or similar—or equivalent experience as a Project Coordinator or certified technologist Familiarity with construction drawings, equipment submittals, and specifications Strong Microsoft Office skills—especially Excel and Outlook An understanding of mechanical systems and the construction sequencing process Who You Are Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy A strong communicator who builds positive working relationships with clients and trades A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Curious and committed to learning and growing in the construction field Why Work With Us Competitive compensation and benefits Paid wellness days and employee assistance programs Ongoing training and opportunities for advancement Strong team culture with regular social events and community involvement A chance to contribute to high-profile mechanical projects across Ottawa and beyond Working Conditions Sitting for prolonged durations, especially when performing computer-based tasks.
