Position OverviewDiscovery Community College (DCC) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as Regional Campus Manager, overseeing our all our Island campuses (Nanaimo, Campbell River, Langford, Courtenay). This is a full-time position onsite at our Nanaimo, BC Campus. Candidates must be available for occasional evening and weekend shifts as campus needs dictate. Salary range: $65,000 to $75,000 per annum. (Depending on experience) Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Regional Campus Manager on site – Nanaimo, BC is a key leader across DCC’s Vancouver Island campuses. You will ensure smooth operations, foster a safe and dynamic environment, and actively drive student enrolment and engagement. The roles and responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, the following areas.Implementing Processes Enforce DCC’s policies and procedures across both campuses. Tackle safety concerns, mediate conflicts, and support student well-being. Ensure policy alignment with DCC’s mission and values. Communication and Marketing Champion DCC’s programs through direct marketing and campus events. Utilize social media platforms to engage prospective and current students. Direct interested individuals to admissions and student services for support. Campus Safety and Security Implement security protocols and procedures for both campuses. Regularly assess campus grounds for safety risks. Monitor building and staffing hours. Facilitate the ergonomic seating and classroom management in collaboration with operations team. Student Services Resolve day-to-day student welfare concerns quickly and effectively. Oversee student retention initiatives. Build strong professional relationships with administrators, faculty, and students. Leading students graduation events. Record Keeping and Documentation Ensure completion of all paperwork and documentation. Oversee maintenance and reporting of student records for academic and financial matters. Team Management Foster positive working relationships with administrators, faculty, and students; lead by example with an all-hands-on-deck approach. Qualifications and Key Attributes Bachelor's degree (preferably in education, business, or a related field) or equivalent experience/other education. Experience in education administration or similar roles. Exceptional communication skills; must be comfortable engaging with diverse groups and addressing challenges directly. Knowledge of campus safety protocols and policies. Innovative and creative thinker. Resourceful problem solver. Respects individuals’ differences and embraces diversity. Committed to sharing knowledge and best practices. Adaptable to constant change; thrives in a challenging and dynamic environment. Class 7 Licence and a Vehicle to travel between the Campuses across Vancouver Island.
