Title: Expression of Interest - Production Roles - Chapleau ID: 664 Location: Chapleau, ON Schedule 7x7 Purpose Discovery is seeking motivated and safety-focused individuals to join our Underground Operations at our Borden Operation. Successful candidates will be considered for a variety of underground mining positions based on their qualifications, experience, and operational requirements. Opportunities may include production, support services, and equipment operation. Responsibilities Responsibilities will vary depending on the position but may include: Perform duties safely in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Corporate and Discovery Porcupine policies, procedures, and Safety and Sustainability Standards. Operate underground mobile equipment as required for the assigned role. Perform production, development, construction, ground support, haulage, material handling, or service activities. Complete workplace inspections and identify, report, and correct unsafe conditions. Work effectively as part of a crew to achieve production and operational objectives. Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition. Follow established work procedures and perform duties as assigned by supervision. Assist in other work areas as operational requirements dictate. Safety Expectations Identify, report, and correct unsafe acts and conditions. Maintain a safe and healthy workplace. Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities. Follow all Discovery Mining safety policies and procedures. Positions Candidates may be considered for opportunities including, but not limited to: Longhole Driller - $55.49/hour Construction Miner - $48.96/hour Longhole Loader - $48.96/hour Grader Fuel Operator - $48.96/hour Scoop Operator - $51.81/hour Other underground production and support positions Qualifications will vary depending on the position and may include Minimum Grade 12 Education Underground Hard Rock Common Core Relevant Underground Common Core modules Previous underground hard rock mining experience Valid Class G driver's licence Ability to work a 7x7 rotating shift schedule Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Commitment to working safely in an underground mining environment This Expression of Interest is intended to identify individuals who may be interested in future employment opportunities with Discovery at our Borden operation.
