The Position Reporting to the Superintendent, Mucking & Construction, the Supervisor, Production & Construction's primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Promoting IRS & ensuring health, safety and environmental objectives are met, which can include monthly beat inspections, monthly crew meetings, and monthly supervisor meetings; Supervising the business unit’s production and construction activities by optimizing material, labour, and equipment use to achieve or exceed quality and production targets as well as financial objectives (cost control and reduction); Supervising, directing and coaching employees to ensure their maximum performance, identifying and meeting training needs pertaining to their job, health and safety and the environment; Reviewing production, quality control, maintenance, down time and statistical reports and work orders to optimally plan own activities; Identifying, recommending and/or implementing changes designed to improve production procedures, equipment performance, working conditions and product quality to maximize the unit’s efficiency; Ensuring employees comply with company with Company rules, policies, programs and procedures and health, safety and environmental legislation. Skills And Qualifications Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent is considered an asset. Supervisory Common Core is required. Full Underground Common Core is required. 5+ years’ experience in mining is required Previous supervisory experience is considered an asset. Requirements
Candidates must have 5+ years of mining experience and hold both Supervisory and Full Underground Common Core certifications. A Grade 12 diploma and previous supervisory experience are considered assets.
