JOB PURPOSE: dmg events is currently seeking a full-time Marketing Specialist responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns for dmg events tradeshows and conferences. The successful candidate will be highly organized, innovative, creative, results driven and will work collaboratively with the marketing team to deliver qualified visitors, delegates, exhibitors, sponsors and media to B2B events across North America. The successful candidate for this position will possess aptitude and demonstrated experience in project management and working within budget. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Reporting to the Head of Marketing: - Develop clear, compelling copy and marketing creative assets for various marketing channels including corporate brochures, websites, advertising campaigns, social media and marketing emails - Support with the execution of event marketing plans, campaign schedules, marketing materials and communications across assigned events - Management of work back schedules and campaign to ensure deadlines are met - Collaboration with the broader dmg events team (sales, operations, content, finance) - Maintain and update event websites, ensuring content is accurate, current and aligned with campaign priorities, registration milestones and commercial objectives. - Maintain advertising schedules and support the fulfillment of paid, contra, sponsor, media, association, and partner deliverables, ensuring required assets are coordinated, approved, and delivered on time. - Manage social media content creation, scheduling, publishing, monitoring, and community engagement for assigned events. - Support marketing data management, including audience list preparation, segmentation requests, data hygiene, campaign tracking, registration data review, and coordination with internal teams to support accurate targeting, reporting, and campaign performance analysis. - Support the execution and optimization of digital advertising campaigns, including coordinating creative assets, campaign links, audience requirements, timelines and performance reporting. - Support registration-related marketing requirements, including registration copy, pass descriptions, promotional deadlines, campaign links, discount code information, badge design coordination, and ongoing registration updates. - Participate in the onsite coordination of assigned event(s) as required - Liaise with external suppliers, including designers, printers, mailing houses, photographers, videographers, registration providers, and other marketing vendors. - Support on deliverables of event-specific apps and usage of apps - Track budget expenditures - Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: As an ideal candidate your background will include: - 3+ years or more marketing experience, or a marketing degree, certificate or equivalent - Refer to yourself as a marketing generalist and have the ability to perform tasks across the marketing function, from web/social media, to registration, to overall strategic marketing plans as required - Exceptional project and time management skills - Strong writing skills with experience writing on behalf of multiple brands with a high attention to detail - Excellent analytical skills – ability to assess and determine needs, requirements and priorities - Exemplary organization skills and be process driven - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate internally and externally - Trade show/conference/event experience is not required, but an asset - Experience in energy markets and energy sector is not required, but an asset - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word - Experience with design platforms including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.. dmg events is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

Experience with Microsoft Office and design platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is expected; event and energy-sector experience are assets.
