Integration Engineer

Integrations Engineer Location: Ottawa, ON (On-Site/ Field as required) Reports to: CTO The Role Dominion Dynamics systems must operate within a broader ecosystem of sensors, platforms, and data systems in real operational environments. To make this possible, we need engineers who can connect complex technologies into a unified capability. This role ensures our systems integrate seamlessly with partner platforms, defence infrastructure, and sensitive data environments as Canada modernizes its defence capabilities. As an Integrations Engineer, you will design and implement the interfaces that allow Dominion Dynamics systems to work seamlessly with external platforms, sensors, and data systems. This work will include designing interfaces between systems and data sets that were not previously integrated, including connecting systems and data sources to bespoke geospatial, LLM, interpretation, and inference layers. This role sits at the intersection of software, systems engineering, and real-world deployment. You’ll work closely with engineering teams and partners to build APIs, connect distributed systems, and ensure our technology integrates reliably in mission environments. What You’ll Do Design and build APIs and system interfaces that connect Dominion Dynamics platforms with external systems Integrate sensors, data systems, and external platforms into deployable operational capabilities Develop and maintain data pipelines and integration frameworks across cloud, edge, and on-prem environments Work closely with software, hardware, and autonomy teams to integrate components into field-ready systems Support system integration, testing, and deployments in operational environments when required Troubleshoot integration issues across distributed systems and multi-vendor environments Contribute to integration architecture, documentation, and best practices as the platform scales What You’ll Bring 5+ years of professional experience in systems integration, solutions engineering, or platform engineering Experience integrating enterprise, defence, or large-scale data systems. Demonstrated experience building APIs, system interfaces, or data integrations Experience working with sensitive or regulated data environments (e.g., defence, healthcare, government systems) Background in engineering, architecture, design, or implementation of complex systems Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across distributed systems Ability to work across teams and collaborate with engineers, operators, and external stakeholders.
