Your Day-to-Day as a Plant Superintendent: Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and safety. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Track performance metrics and implement best practices for continuous improvement. Manage budgets and optimize resource allocation. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations. Drive sustainability efforts, supporting Drax’s low-carbon mission. Prepare and present reports on plant performance to senior management. Maintain a strong focus on sustainability and contribute to DRAX’s mission of delivering low-carbon energy solutions. What you’ll bring: To excel in this vital role, you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in plant or manufacturing management, preferably in the energy or heavy industrial sector. Strong leadership and people management skills with experience in leading diverse teams. In-depth knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Experience in managing budgets, resources, and financial performance. A commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
