Corporate Tax – Pathway to Partner Opportunity Job Title: Corporate Tax Director Location: North West England About The Pathway To Partner Role We have a unique opportunity for an ambitious Corporate Tax specialist to join our award-winning network of advisory professionals. You will work collaboratively with our existing businesses to win and deliver corporate tax advisory projects, including M&A transactions, whilst we support you in building your own highly successful Tax practice. You will join us initially as a salaried employee while you focus on building your network, converting internal leads and opportunities, and providing excellent client service. We will work with you to build a fully transparent roadmap to partnership, agreeing on key milestones and a tailored development programme to support you in achieving your goals. To support your development, you will be provided with a dedicated coach and mentor who will guide and advise you, and skills training/masterclasses to develop your professional and leadership expertise. We will work with you to develop a bespoke PR plan to boost your network and profile, and we will meet with you regularly to build your business plan, preparing you for launching your own business as part of the Dow Schofield Watts group. About You We are seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial Corporate Tax specialist who is technically excellent, has experience of leading, collaborating and completing on a range of M&A transactions, can build strong client relationships and aspires to grow their own business. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage corporate tax advisory projects, including M&A transactions Provide expert advice on complex tax matters to clients, ensuring clarity and understanding Develop and grow a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment Drive business development efforts, leveraging an initial network of contacts to win new work Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and industry trends. Qualifications Currently a Director/Associate Director/Senior Manager at a Top 10 accountancy firm or Regional Tax Boutique business 8-10 years of experience in corporate tax, preferably with mid-tier experience and/or past Big 4 exposure CTA qualified Experience in leading and growing a high-performing team Technically strong with the ability to simplify and communicate complex tax matters Ambitious, driven, and entrepreneurial mindset Demonstrate work-winning potential and an initial network of contacts Strong background in Corporate Tax advisory.
