Job details

PRODUCTION MANAGER - SUMMER 2027 (Etobicoke) Student Works Painting is hiring a Production Manager for the 2027 season in Etobicoke. You'll run the day-to-day production of a student painting business: managing crews, scheduling jobs, and making sure every project is finished on time and to standard. This is a real management role - you'll be the operator's right hand all summer. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Manage and schedule painting crews across multiple job sites • Be the on-site point person for clients - updates, walkthroughs, quality checks • Order paint and materials, keep jobs on schedule and on budget • Train new painters and hold the crew to a quality standard • Flag problems early and solve them on the spot WHAT YOU GET • Commission-based pay - a percentage of the production you run, so your earnings scale with your results • Full training program starting in the preseason, no painting experience required • Genuine management experience: hiring input, scheduling, client relations, and a summer of leading a team • A reference and a resume line that actually means something WHAT YOU NEED • Valid driver's licence and your own vehicle (you'll travel between job sites daily) • Available full-time May through August, plus preseason training commitments starting in January • Organized, decisive, and comfortable giving direction to a crew of your peers • Painting or trades experience is an asset, not a requirement Apply here and we'll be in touch about next steps.
