About the Role This position is a critical member of our finance team supporting members of the Canada Leadership team responsible for overall financial goals of one of the biggest markets in Dyson. Partnering directly with leadership team to evaluate ROI of investments and business plans to support achieving our overall goals. This position is both strategic business partner as well as financial controller for the business unit. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES Month End Close, Forecasting and Reporting * Lead monthly forecast meetings with your business partners. Highlight risks and opportunities to our targets and work with your partners to drive action to increase profitability. * Prepare accruals for month end close and ensure accurate financials are booked each month. Then provide variances for leadership and drive any follow up actions needed upon review. * Provide actionable reporting to ensure our business partners have the right information to understand their P&L/trends and drive the business forward. * Critical partner driving the annual budgeting process by maintaining budget templates, analyzing year over year trends, and consolidating/implementing feedback from the leadership team. Business partner to the Canada business team * Build strong relationships and provide value added advice to organization to ensure financial results are well understood and business results optimized * Partner with business operators to ensure expenses are accurately tracked and accrued for * Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested to support business decision support Lead and develop an Analyst/Associate Other Requirements * Assist finance leadership team with continuous improvement projects, including Commercial Planning system implementation, improved reporting / dashboards, etc. About You: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance * 5-8 years of experience in an analytical finance role, preferably with experience in a marketing or sales organization * Prior experience in forecasting/ budgeting/planning processes and reporting / analytics * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills * Ability to independently research and resolve tasks with awareness and motivation to collaborate when necessary * Ability to clearly present and communicate complex data analysis * Advanced knowledge/ proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required * SAP experience preferred * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Adaptable/flexible – able to multitask and manage competing priorities * Confident in building relationships and engaging with non-financial teams * Organized self-starter with strong ability to work independently and in a team environment * Ingenious-empirical, disciplined and a problem solver * Attuned-emotionally smart, having positive intent * Shrewd-make sound decisions, long-term commercial thinking * Architect-setting and raising the bar and providing clarity and honest feedback Compensation: $114,400 - 143,000 CAD annually + bonus opportunity Benefits: At Dyson, how we reward you is linked to our high-performance culture.
