Facility Welder-Fabricator Full-time | Year-Round | Blackfalds, AB Position Summary Build your career with a maintenance team that keeps our operation running. As a Facility Welder-Fabricator at Eagle Builders, you’ll perform a variety of welding, fabrication and repair work that supports the maintenance and operation of equipment in our precast concrete manufacturing facility. This hands-on role requires sound trade knowledge, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality and safety. What You’ll Do Complete a variety of welding, fabrication, and repair tasks to support plant operations Read and interpret drawings, specifications, diagrams, and schematics Operate welding tools and facility equipment safely and efficiently Perform A-frame repairs, deck chamfer repairs, hard surfacing, weld plate modifications, and general fabrication Maintain welding equipment and keep the shop clean, organized and ready for work Collaborate effectively with maintenance, production, and other team members Plan, organize, and prioritize work to support efficient plant operations Work closely with maintenance leadership to troubleshoot issues and complete repairs What We Are Looking For Reliable – prepared, follows through on commitments, can be counted on Team-oriented – works well with others and is willing to step in wherever needed Quality-focused – pays attention to detail and understands the impact of quality workmanship Self-motivated – takes initiative, solves problems, and works effectively with minimal supervision Requirements Successful interview candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment assessment Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation 3rd/4th Year Registered Apprentice Welder or Journeyman Welder Previous welding, fabrication, or related hands-on experience Ability to perform accurate welding and fabrication work in a fast-paced facility Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams and schematics Available to work 10-12 hours/day Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays Physically able to perform demanding work for extended periods Comfortable working around active manufacturing equipment and production areas Able to work safely in a facility environment Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) Assets Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience CWB welding certification Experience with equipment repair or hard surfacing What Eagle Builders Offers Competitive wages based on experience, with regular evaluations 6% vacation pay, health coverage, and wellness support Sundays off and a culture that values time with family Clothing program, meal program, fuel discounts, and employee events Clear training roadmaps and opportunities for growth Bring your work ethic, commitment to quality, and willingness to learn.
