Financial Analyst Work Location: 6080 Young Street, Halifax, NS (On-site, 5 days per week) Department: Finance & Corporate Services Reports To: Accounting Manager Employment Status: Full time, 40 hours per week In this role, you will be part of a team primarily focused on balance sheet accounts and various supporting corporate services. Financial Analysts are responsible for providing financial and administrative support for projects, month-end activities and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Capital Project Analysis and Maintenance Capital Expenditures Analysis Journal Entry Preparation GL Reconciliations Differentiating Between Capital and Current Expenses Monthly Accruals Receiving Purchase Orders Billing Requests Ad Hoc Requests Qualifications: Completion of post-secondary education with a focus in accounting Current enrollment or desire to enroll in a professional accounting designation is considered an asset One to three years of relevant experience Ability to prioritize and consistently meet deadlines Desire to work in a positive and dynamic team environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multi-task and adapt to continuous change Have strong analytical and critical-thinking skills Ability to communicate effectively and build working relationships across departments Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications About Eastlink Eastlink is proudly family-owned and headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
