Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager, Central to join our CPDI (Critical Power Distribution Infrastructure) team. This hybrid position that is based out of our Toronto, ON Eaton location and offers a company vehicle for local travel to customer sites as well as benefits from day one. What you’ll do: Responsible for leading the central region in the sale & promotion of all Eaton Power Quality Division product and service offerings; including three phase and single-phase UPS, software and connectivity products, service contracts, parts, replacement batteries, and monitoring products. These offerings are supported by direct staff and manufacturer agents and are sold through multiple channels including; distributors, two tier channel partners, and direct. Must have the ability to manage our sales partners as well as drive sales to end-user customers through value- added selling of Eaton solutions. Essential Functions: • Lead direct sales reports in managing and maintaining relationships within a network of distribution partners and manufacturer agents for UPS/PQ products & services • Achieve sales goals and execute sales plans within assigned sales region, through agents, distributors, resellers and direct. • Maintain and manage profitability in the region. • Work in conjunction with the National Sales Manager and national teams to promote a unified front to the customer, drive consistency and process improvement across geographies, share best practices, and drive growth • Manage and update sales funnels, reports and regular forecasts. • Prepare and present comprehensive business reviews of assigned customers, identifying performance against goal/budget on regular basis, detailed forecast for the rest of the year with deep dive analysis. • Maintain a high level of expertise for all applications and trends to effectively promote Eaton PQ products and solutions. Complete ongoing training on both functional and technical skills • Gather and leverage the voice of customers to recommend new or modified programs to ensure a competitive position is maintained within the market. • Utilize negotiation skills to influence and resolve complex problems, capture value and influence all stakeholders to drive results. • Maintain positive relationship with Customer Service teams and serve as an escalation point to ensure all customer inquiries, orders, invoices, payments, and complaints are dealt with quickly and effectively. • Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, set objectives, establish priorities, and hold accountable by providing timely coaching and feedback. • Promote and emulate a culture that reflects our Eaton Leadership Attributes & Values which include high performance, inclusion and diversity, continuous improvement, and excellence in quality of work Qualifications: Basic Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline • Minimum 5 years of strategic account sales experience and demonstrated growth of customer accounts, within a relevant product portfolio • Prior experience leading inside and/or outside sales teams • Valid and unrestricted driver's licence with travel up to 50% of the time • Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future • No relocation benefit is offered for this position Preferred Qualifications: • University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering • Minimum 7 years of experience working with and having technical involvement with power quality electrical products and assemblies • 1 year of experience using data analytics; digital marketing • 1 year of experience in sales or customer service • Project Management Designation (PMP) • Knowledge and application of support for B2B and B2C businesses • Bilingual, French and English is an asset Skills: • Time and Territory Management skills; allowing you to increase contract closure rates while meeting sales and profitability goals • Sales Planning skills and follow-through • Ability to leverage internal resources to promote customer solutions • Strong business acumen with proven sales strategic plan implementation with measurable results. • Strong interpersonal skills • Strong team player that actively contributes to the group’s success • Excellent written and oral communication skills in addition to strong organizational skills • Strong computer skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process. The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $150,000 - $190,000 per year. Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree or diploma and at least 5 years of strategic account sales experience with a proven track record of growth. Prior experience leading sales teams and a valid driver's license are required, along with authorization to work in Canada.
