Additional Job Description WHAT YOU’LL DO: The NPI Procurement Specialist role is the primary point of contact for all project-related procurement and sourcing activities. This role is crucial for ensuring consistent material readiness, managing project material design changes, and driving milestones from prototype to mass production. The NPI Procurement Specialist maintains ultimate accountability for the project’s overall procurement performance, ensuring alignment with budget, timeline, quality, and technical requirements. Responsibilities Serve as the primary procurement point of contact for NPI projects, maintaining responsibility and accountability for the project’s overall procurement performance and success. Ensure consistent material readiness for the entire NPI Bill of Materials (BOM) across all project phases (EVT, DVT, PVT), actively expediting material delivery to meet strict project timelines. Manage and coordinate project material design changes, ensuring seamless communication between engineering, sourcing, and suppliers to mitigate delays and maintain project momentum. Develop, maintain, and analyze comprehensive pricing spreadsheets to track project costs, evaluate budget adherence, and provide financial visibility to the core project team. Effectively delegate strategic sourcing tasks—such as RFQs, formal pricing negotiations, and overarching supplier relationship management (SRM)—to the Strategic Sourcing team, ensuring their outputs align with project schedule needs. Manage the complete Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle (e.g., material, tooling, NRE) including confirming receipt, resolving Accounts Payable (AP) issues, and managing material item master data. Actively engage in NPI project-specific core-team activities, establishing strong cross-functional relationships internally and reinforcing project-level objectives. WHO YOU ARE: Basic Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, and/or Engineering. 3-5 years of experience in NPI Procurement or an equivalent project-focused procurement role. 3-5 years of experience in project or program management in Data Center or Tech. related industries Proficiency in English (written and verbal), native or full professional proficiency. Ability to read, interpret, and understand part drawings, technical specifications, and design changes. Preferred: SCMP or PMP certification. Preferred Qualifications: Capable of managing comprehensive project procurement activities and driving cross-functional alignment. Able to facilitate project procurement effectively while tracking overall performance. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to changing needs, design iterations, and evolving priorities. Possesses strong collaboration and people skills to build and improve trusting relationships. Skills: Strong ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams, delegate tasks appropriately, and influence without direct authority. Ability to prioritize tasks, expedite deliverables, and maintain commitments in a fast-paced project environment. Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Quick learning ability, demonstrating critical thinking, quantitative analytical skills, and the capacity to question logically.
