We are looking for a Senior HRIS Analyst (6–12–month contract) to support UKG Payroll and HCM during a period of growth, post-acquisition, and transition to Workday. In this key role, you'll ensure system performance, accurate employee data, payroll continuity, and smooth employee integration. As the main UKG support contact, you'll collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, Workday teams, and vendors to improve system configuration, reporting, integrations, and resolve issues, enhancing the employee systems experience and operational excellence. What You Will Do Serve as a primary subject matter expert for UKG Payroll and UKG Human Capital Management (HCM), providing system administration, troubleshooting, and end-user support. Lead data validation, reconciliation, cleansing, mapping, and migration activities to support acquisitions and the organization's transition to Workday. Participate in Workday implementation and payroll transformation initiatives, including testing, defect resolution, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment readiness activities. Monitor and support system integrations, interfaces, and data exchanges, partnering with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve issues and ensure data accuracy. Develop, maintain, and distribute reports, dashboards, analytics, and operational metrics that support payroll, workforce, and business decision-making. Maintain system configurations, workflows, business rules, security roles, and reporting structures while ensuring compliance with governance and data security standards. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, user guides, and process documentation to support operational consistency and user adoption. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting capabilities, system functionality, and overall operational efficiency through data-driven problem-solving and critical thinking. Position Details This role plays a key role in supporting post-acquisition integration activities and the organization's HR technology transformation, including the transition from UKG to Workday. The position works closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, implementation partners, and external vendors in a highly collaborative environment. Occasional support may be required during payroll processing periods, system implementations, cutover activities, and other critical business events. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; 5+ years of experience supporting and administering UKG Payroll and UKG Human Capital Management (HCM) systems. Experience supporting Workday implementations, migrations, or system transition projects. Experience working as a Business Analyst, HRIS Analyst, Payroll Systems Analyst, or in a similar role supporting HR and payroll technology solutions. Strong report-writing and data analysis experience. Experience troubleshooting system, configuration, integration, payroll, and data-related issues. Knowledge of HRIS administration, data migration, system integrations, and interface management. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups. Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and workforce integrations. Advanced reporting, dashboard development, and workforce analytics experience. Experience coordinating with third-party vendors, implementation partners, and cross-functional project teams. Knowledge of SQL and database query tools. Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or similar database platforms. Knowledge of payroll compliance, data governance, and internal control best practices. Experience creating training materials, SOPs, process documentation, and user guides. Familiarity with testing methodologies, defect management processes, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
