Team members join a professional environment focused on safety, performance, and excellence in every project. Role Description The Concrete Finisher is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB. This position is responsible for preparing work sites, setting and stripping concrete forms, placing, leveling, and finishing concrete for sidewalks, curbs, pads, and other flatwork surfaces. Daily tasks include operating hand and power tools, performing basic carpentry related to formwork, and assisting with concrete pours, cutting, and patching as required. The role also involves collaborating with crew members, following directions from site supervisors, and adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards. The Concrete Finisher may support heavy equipment operations around the work area and is expected to maintain a clean, organized job site and handle physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Qualifications Concrete formwork and carpentry skills, including experience with Formwork and basic Carpentry for sidewalks, curbs, and other structures. Concrete Flatwork skills, including placing, screeding, leveling, finishing, and curing concrete in commercial, municipal, and residential settings. Proficiency with Power Tools commonly used in concrete finishing (e.g., saws, drills, grinders, vibrators) and hand tools (trowels, floats, edgers). Exposure to Heavy Equipment operations around paving and construction sites, with the ability to work safely in proximity to machinery. Prior experience as a Concrete Finisher or in a related construction trade, preferably in paving or civil construction. Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and ability to follow OH&S and company safety procedures. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in varying conditions. Reliable transportation to Calgary-area job sites and willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and weekends as project needs require. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and contribute to a respectful, inclusive work environment.
