Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $95,200 to $158,700 annually, and the good faith estimated starting pay for this position upon hire is $114,300 to $133,350 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to, relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location. Scope of Job: The Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the overall management of strategic sourcing of goods and services for renewable energy generating assets and corporate requirements while ensuring compliance with overall company objectives and strategies. Responsibilities Responsibilities: Lead team of strategic buyers towards achievement of strategic sourcing goals including savings targets, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction, and the timely execution and completion of Supply Chain sourcing events and manage and mentor staff to encourage professional growth and development. Lead and manage RFI/RFQ/RFPs from start to finish, including creation, issuance, and facilitation of the entire process, through issuance of award recommendations and negotiation of contract terms/master service agreements. Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to establish accurate forecasts of recurring needs in the form of annual Procurement Plans, and work towards establishing supply and service contracts to cover these needs. Develop and manage commodity sourcing strategies to address supply market conditions, technology roadmaps, industry trends and product / service needs and forecast to protect continuity of supply and utilizing emerging opportunities. Develop and maintain supplier relationships, researching and anticipating shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers, and continuously evaluating supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models. Drive improvements and efficiencies resulting in added value to the organization, and create the necessary procedures, processes, and work instructions. Other duties as assigned. Supervision of Others: 4-6 direct reports Working Conditions: 80-90% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 10-20% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings. Fiscal Responsibilities: The employee must work within the budget constraints as authorized by the Executive Team, while successfully following all policies and procedures related to employees’ fiscal responsibilities in doing the day-to-day job. Qualifications Education/Experience: Requires Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. A minimum of 7 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and Inventory Management. 3+ years of experience leading team at least 4+ employees (direct reports). Experience in Renewable Energy, highly desired. Experience leading end-to-end source to pay processes, including spend analysis, benchmarking, TCO analysis, negotiations, supplier performance management, scorecards, contracting and savings tracking. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a high level of accountability. Excellent interpersonal skills with capacity to build relationships internally and externally and influencing skills. Strong contract negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communications, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization. Ability to read, perform analysis, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, governmental regulations, technical procedures, specifications and drawings. Solid track record of effectively developing and leading a team. Advanced knowledge in MS office that includes Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Proficient in the use of Sourcing and Supplier Management applications, preferably SAP Ariba. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk and use his/her hands. The position will require travel, so the employee in this position must be able to successfully accommodate air and ground travel.
