Position Summary The Community Support Worker provides individualized, recovery-oriented support to residents within e4c’s long-term supported housing programs. Working with individuals experiencing mental health, addiction, and trauma-related challenges, the role promotes stability, wellness, and community integration through a relationship-based and trauma-informed approach. The Community Support Worker collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support resident goals, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and contribute to effective program delivery. Schedule * Rotating day, evening, or overnight shift schedule * Day: 7:00AM – 3:30PM * Evening: 3:00PM – 11:30PM * Overnight: 11:00PM – 7:30AM * This is a shift working position and schedule may vary according to program needs. Key Responsibilities * Provide relationship-based, trauma-informed support to residents, promoting wellness, recovery, and daily living skills development. * Support residents with life skills learning, including cooking, medication management, communication, conflict resolution, and community engagement. * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and healthcare partners to implement and support resident care plans and wellness goals. * Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment through positive role modeling, supportive communication, and community-building activities. * Assist with meal planning, food preparation, and maintaining food and wellness supplies in alignment with nutritional and program standards. * Support community development initiatives by organizing activities, encouraging resident participation, and building positive relationships with community stakeholders. * Maintain accurate communication, documentation, and administrative processes while ensuring compliance with organizational, health, and safety standards. Qualifications Education * Diploma or Degree in Human Services, Education or related field. Certification * Standard First Aid and CPR * Suicide Intervention * Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle * Proof of vehicle insurance (min. $2 million liability), registration and 3-year drivers abstract. * Indigenous Awareness * Medication Administration * De-Escalation * Trauma Informed Care * Harm Reduction * Food Safety Experience * 3+ years of direct service experience supporting diverse communities with complex and varied needs. * Proven ability to foster a collaborative team environment and work within interdisciplinary partnerships. * Strong knowledge and application of harm reduction, trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based practices.
