As an Operations Specialist II, you'll be responsible for facilitating transfers into the firm, navigating complex research and escalations, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities Responsible for processing and supporting transfers into the firm, ATON (automated), Non-ATON and Pensions. Functions include: verifying documents for completeness and accuracy, managing rejects and returns, communicating with other firms and internal stakeholders (ex.Branches), following up on transfer status, support of team service levels, etc Research, manage and resolve escalated issues until resolution via in-depth research, partnership with internal and external groups, regular, proactive communication Serve as functional subject matter expert to others by providing guidance, support, and training team members and business partners both within and outside the department. Qualifications Required In The Job High school diploma or equivalent is required. A university degree or college diploma is preferred. 2 or more years of experience in an operations/processing position in the brokerage, banking or financial services industries is strongly preferred. Knowledge of account transfers, ATON, Non-ATON and Pensions is strongly preferred. Industry-related courses or designations are an asset but not required: examples CSC, IFIC mutual fund course etc. Strong customer service focus, with a desire to serve, own and solve issues, communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide status, etc. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply procedures and guidelines consistently is required. Must have ability to make proper judgement calls based on analysis of available information. Must be well organized, possess a strong attention to detail and have the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks. Experience with Microsoft office tools and spreadsheets is required. Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Missisauga, ON home office location are expected to work in the office four days per week.
