Rate of Pay: Hourly wage range of $38.00-$48.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. About Electra Battery Materials Electra is a leader in advancing North America’s critical minerals supply chain for lithium-ion batteries. The Company’s primary focus is constructing North America’s only cobalt sulfate refinery, as part of a phased strategy to onshore critical minerals refining and reduce reliance on foreign supply chains. In addition to the Refinery, Electra holds a significant land package in Idaho’s Cobalt Belt, including its Iron Creek project and surrounding properties, positioning the Company as a potential cornerstone for North American cobalt and copper production. Electra is also advancing black mass recycling opportunities to recover critical materials from end-of-life batteries, while continuing to evaluate growth opportunities in nickel refining and other downstream battery materials. Responsibilities Below is a list of primary duties and responsibilities for the Instrumentation Technician position at the Cobalt Refinery: Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and control systems used in Refinery operations (i.e. flow, pressure, temperature, level, analytical instruments); Perform at a level which meets or exceeds Key Performance Indicators as issued by management; Conduct routine preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure reliability of instrumentation equipment; Work in compliance with prescribed safety and environmental laws and regulations; Be proactive with company safety initiatives and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures; Report and take action when seeing any unsafe condition within the plant; Configure, calibrate, and test transmitters, sensors, control valves, and other field devices; Troubleshoot instrumentation malfunctions, identify root causes, and perform corrective actions; Support and be involved in programming Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and other control equipment; Maintain accurate records of calibrations, maintenance activities, and test results in compliance with Refinery standards; Assist engineers and supervisors in implementing instrumentation modifications and upgrades; Identify any areas of improvement to management in terms of maintenance and equipment performance; Read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), loop diagrams, and manuals; Provide input for spare parts inventory, ordering, and maintaining instrumentation supplies; Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize system performance; Stay updated with refinery-specific instrumentation standards, codes, and best practices; and, Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma, complimented by post-secondary education in Instrumentation field; Certified or working towards 447A Instrumentation and Control Technician designation is an asset; Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; Strong understanding of instrumentation & control theory: electrical, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical fundamentals; Instrumentation experience in an industrial environment is an asset; Skills in process control systems: PLCs, DCS, possibly SCADA systems; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Innovative problem-solving skills and ability to take calculated risks to improve operating efficiencies applied to revenue generation and cost containment; Strong communication skills including good written composition and presentation of ideas and concepts; and, High level of computer literacy in MS Windows and MS Office applications. Requirements

Applicants need a high school diploma complemented by post-secondary education in instrumentation, and at least three years of relevant experience. A 447A Instrumentation and Control Technician designation or progress toward it is an asset, along with knowledge of instrumentation fundamentals, process control systems, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and computer literacy.
