Student Teacher Casual Educational Assistant Elk Island Catholic Schools Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Camrose and Vegreville Are you currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program? We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated students to join our team as Casual Educational Assistants in schools across our communities. This is an excellent opportunity for Bachelor of Education students to gain valuable classroom experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about student success, lifelong learning, and creating an inclusive classroom where all students feel valued and supported. As a Casual Educational Assistant, you will work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support the instructional, behavioural, and social development of students. These positions are on-call and as-needed, offering a flexible opportunity to support students and staff across our schools. Qualifications Currently enrolled as a Bachelor of Education student from a post-secondary institution. Experience working with children or youth Ability to build positive and professional relationships with students and staff. Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills. A commitment to student safety, dignity, and inclusion. Seeking practicing Catholics with an Alberta teaching certificate (or be eligible for).
