Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting an interim full-time (1.0 FTE) Elementary Teacher at Lamont Elementary. Lamont Elementary serves approximately 300 students in kindergarten to Grade 6, with 17 teaching staff and 15 support staff. The school is located in Lamont, AB, approximately 60 kilometres northeast of Sherwood Park, AB. Lamont Elementary is located in a community that strongly supports and appreciates the value of education. The school offers an outstanding academic program, including a range of opportunities for students to participate in fine arts programming. Opportunities also include a variety of extracurricular activities including a strong intramural program, sports teams and numerous clubs. The school’s mission is to provide the best possible quality instruction to students and to support the values of the community it serves. Lamont Elementary is also a designated Play And Learn at School (PALS) pre-kindergarten site within the Division.
