About the role: Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, Mining, a Mine Engineer or Mine EIT is responsible for working with a group of professionals to support mining operations and utilize digital mining technology to optimize safety, productivity, and environmental sustainability. Working a compressed work week with alternating Fridays off, come experience what work life balance is all about! \n Benefits: * Two Annual Bonus Plans * Comprehensive Benefits Plan * Retirement Package * Health Lifestyle Account * Relocation Assistance In this role you will: * Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies * Influence strong site decision making through detailed data analysis and sound mining practices * Perform economic evaluations, productivity analyses, estimate coal releases, and generate coal blending plans * Work in a wide range of mine planning: design and analytics, including pit and dump design, production and blast scheduling, and mining sequence optimization * Plan, develop, and support solutions to meet the business objectives of the Mine Operations, Engineering, and Operating Excellence departments Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Geological Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience * Registered, or eligible to register, with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC); EVR will support eligible employees with their EGBC registration * Strong digital literacy in mining related software * RPM Xecute or MinePlanner software experience is an asset * Experience in a mining environment; previous experience in open pit, truck and shovel operations is an asset * Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent \n $106,000 - $131,000 a year \n The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity. The Mine Engineer or EIT supports mining operations by working with a team of professionals and utilizing digital mining technology to optimize safety, productivity, and environmental sustainability. Responsibilities include participating in safety programs, influencing site decisions through data analysis, maintaining digital mining systems, and updating equipment files.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Geological Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants need to be registered or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC) and demonstrate strong digital literacy in mining-related software.
