About the role: Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Mine Operations, the Mine Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe and productive operation of the operations crew. This position follows a 4x4 schedule rotation of day and night shifts. Benefits: Two Annual Bonus Plans Comprehensive Benefits Plan Retirement Package Health Lifestyle Account Relocation Assistance In this role you will: Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies Lead and empower employees in achieving operating targets and improve employee work performance and efficiency through mentorship, feedback and achieving safe operating targets Manage and optimize truck, shovel, drilling, and blasting functions to improve production and minimize operating costs Administer the collective agreement, safety, and mine and environmental regulations (health and safety reclamation code) in a manner consistent with policies and procedures Read and understand maps along with mine plans, mine maintenance activities and collaborate closely with other shift supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel in coordinating mining activities Participate in industrial relations and safety investigations Requirements: Possess a valid Open Pit Shift Boss certificate Minimum three years of demonstrated ability leading operational activities in an open pit mining environment Understanding of the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in BC Exposure to Wenco Dispatch system would be an asset Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent Salary: $123,000 - $152,000 / year The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity. Requirements

Candidates must possess a valid Open Pit Shift Boss certificate and a Class 5 Driver's License. A minimum of three years of leadership experience in an open pit mining environment and knowledge of BC's Health, Safety and Reclamation Code are required.
