The Opportunity Company: Emera Energy Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia Closing Date: September 28, 2026 We are currently looking for a Natural Gas Scheduler (Weekends) to join our Logistics team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Senior Manager Commercial Operations – Gas Logistics, you will be responsible for executing on our gas trading team’s strategy to flow gas from supply areas to market areas across a network of pipelines in the most reliable, cost-effective manner possible. Training will take place in office working Monday-Friday. After training is complete the successful candidate will move from working Monday-Friday and join our weekend team covering Friday-Monday. As a Natural Gas Scheduler (Weekends) you will: Nominate gas on a portfolio of pipelines across multiple scheduling cycles throughout the day; Provide accurate pipeline positions relating to supply and market obligations; Track storage positions and monitor for changes regarding injection and withdraw limits; Ensure deliveries to facilities under our management are accurate and confirmed as needed; Be responsible for accurately bidding on transportation capacity releases; Reconcile gas flows in our deal capture system; Provide imbalance, purchase and sale, and consumption reports to our customers. These skills will make you successful: A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and 2+ years of relevant experience is desired; Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail for problem-solving and independent decision making; Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; You thrive in a fast paced, high energy environment with hourly deadlines; Strong communication skills to function in a team environment and to maintain rapport with customers and service providers; We understand that experience comes in many forms.
