Location: Isabella Dicken Elementary School, Fernie, BC
Contract Type: Part-time Temporary (0.86 FTE)
Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $54,487 to $96,616, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers'
Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).
-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
-Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each
posting.
Job Summary:
Learning Services Teacher - Grades K-6
0.86 FTE temporary contract, starting April 24, 2026 or upon completion of the
posting process to May 14, 2026, or return of the incumbent.
Must have a degree/diploma or certification in Learning Services/Inclusive
Education. Experience at the Elementary level would be considered an asset.
This position is scheduled for Monday through Thursday. Please note that all
work will be on site.
Please note: Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing
assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is
greater in the temporary job posting.
