**Social Justice & Economics Teacher **
Full-time (1.00 FTE) position
West Vancouver Secondary School
Effective September 8, 2026 until June 30, 2027
_The annual salary for a full-time teaching position ranges from $_63.347 to $1 16 _,_190 , with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE.
A full-time (1.0 FTE) Social Justice, Economic Theory, and Social Studies position is available at West Vancouver Secondary School.
**Required Qualifications and Experience **
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:
- Appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Social Justice and Social Studies
- Post-secondary coursework and/or ELL instructional certification considered an asset
- Knowledgeable in the use of Proficiency Scales for assessment
- Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Core Competencies, Big Ideas, and Learning Standards for the appropriate curricular area.
- A valid BC Teaching Certificate.
- Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum.
- An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners.
- A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
