The Corporation’s branches work to support the Yukon’s food and beverage industry, cannabis market, and local liquor producers through a range of programs and services. The opportunity… This position is responsible for directing and managing the operation and maintenance of all aspects of the Yukon Liquor Corporation’s 50,000 square foot central warehouse, which includes directing and controlling the receipt, warehousing, shipping, distribution and safe keeping of approximately 2,000 different liquor and cannabis products.

This role will supervise the Assistant Warehouse Manager, Warehouse staff, and Sales and Distribution staff who are responsible for all product shipments destined to 6 Yukon Liquor Corporation (YLC) retail stores, 150 licensed establishments, music festivals, beer festivals, wine festivals, and other permitted special events.

Essential Qualifications

• Recent extensive experience managing a large warehouse, including overseeing the receiving, distributing, and maintaining product inventory.
• Recent extensive experience leading, managing and supporting entry-level warehouse workers.
• Considerable experience briefing senior management on warehouse operations, including challenges and continuous improvements.
• Considerable experience drafting contracts and managing contractors.
• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in supply chain management, logistics, business, or related is an asset

Additional Information Conditions of Employment: Class 5 Yukon Driver’s License and Security Clearance.

Job requirements: When in Warehouse, steel toed boots must be worn.

This position is in Whitehorse, Yukon, and requires you to work in the office. Remote work is not available for this role.
