Job Summary and Requirements
This is to fill one (1) permanent full-time position working 75 hours biweekly.

We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Facilities Management team. The Chief of Security is responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of Asset Security programs for all government owned facilities. Develops and implements procedures for the unit along with reviewing and assessing the program for improvements on a regular basis. Works closely with clients to develop and maintain strong working relationships to ensure the government and the department's security objectives are met and aligned. The Chief of Security is responsible for conducting all matters in a professional and confidential matter with a variety of Government departments and non-Government stake holders.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Experience supervising and scheduling staff in a 24/7 operation.
- Experience developing and implementing security policies and procedures
- Experience working with security software, access control, and/or monitoring systems.
- Experience supporting operations involving building infrastructure, including mechanical and related building systems.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

The ideal candidate will possess these qualifications, skills and knowledge, but also demonstrate suitability for the role and organizational culture. Key competencies for success in this role include:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client service skills and demonstrated experience
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills to address security concerns and incidents proactively Experience with contract management
Conditions of Employment
This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:

RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check,

Yukon Class 5 driver’s license,

Standard First Aid with CPR (to be acquired within 6 months of hire).
