POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for a 'handyman' for our buildings in the complex located in the St-Jérôme district. The position is full-time (day and/or weekend hours are possible) and on call for emergencies. Are you versatile, agile with your hands, and have a strong sense of organization? You are the person we are looking for! As a member of the maintenance team, the concierge's main function is to ensure the general upkeep of the building.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Able to change water heaters
• Able to lay floating floor
• All other related tasks
• Carry out site maintenance according to the frequency planned for this purpose or when required
• Clean and carry out tasks related to the maintenance of floors and carpets in common areas
• Ensure maintenance of property spaces and systems
• Ensure security and compliance with building regulations
• Ensure the cleanliness of the working environment is maintained
• Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the premises
• Knowledge of fire safety rules
• Knowledge of plumbing and electricity
• Knowledge of ventilation system
• Maintain the grounds, indoor parking, storage spaces
• See to the maintenance and monitoring of equipment and mechanical systems
• Taking out the trash
• Wash windows at main and secondary entrances

Construction

• Actively participate in various company committees - Know and apply company policies and procedures
• Clear and salt the entrances
• Communicate the maintenance needs for materials and products and upkeep of the building to the immediate superior
• Make service calls
• Minor repairs in apartments and common areas (plaster, paint, change lights, various installations, etc.)
• Organise or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required and as requested by the immediate superior
• Preventive maintenance on equipment
• Remove snow and ice on sidewalks

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience
• Customer service experience an asset
• Experience in construction an asset
