We are reimagining what it means to educate the next generation through real-world skills, representation, and holistic support that reflects who they are and where they are from. . Role Description The Social Media Coordinator volunteer role is a 6 month contract position based in , with a remote work arrangement that allows some tasks to be completed from home (we will need you to attend our HealHER conference in September). In this role, the coordinator will help plan, create, and publish social media content across platforms to promote EmpowHERto’s programs, events, and impact. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting posts and captions, scheduling content, monitoring engagement and comments, and supporting digital campaigns aligned with the organization’s mission. The coordinator will collaborate with team members to ensure messaging is consistent, inclusive, and appealing to EmpowHERto’s audiences. The role may also involve basic analytics tracking, community interaction, and suggesting new ideas to increase reach and engagement. Qualifications Strong skills in Social Media Content Creation and Social Media Marketing, with an understanding of platform best practices. Effective Communication and Writing skills, including the ability to craft clear, engaging, and inclusive messaging. Foundational knowledge of Digital Marketing, including audience targeting and basic analytics interpretation. Interest in and commitment to empowering minority girls and young women from underserved communities. Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. Previous experience in social media, marketing, or nonprofit volunteer work is an asset but not required.
