Job Summary The Class 3 Driver will safely operate a Class 3 vehicle with air brakes to collect residential recycling, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, deliver materials to the processing facility, and provide professional service to customers. This role operates a right-hand-drive Class 3 recycling truck. The driver is required to manually load recyclables by emptying residential recycling bins into one of three side-loader compartments. The position requires frequent entry and exit from the vehicle at each stop and involves consistent physical labour throughout the day. The successful candidate must be comfortable with manual handling and working in a physically demanding environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and service. Position Description Safe and efficient operation of a Class 3 motor vehicle (with air brakes); Conduct all activities according to the collection schedule; Perform curbside recycling collection in a manner that meets or exceeds contract requirements; Conduct daily inspection of vehicle and accurately complete related documentation; Communicate with supervisor regarding concerns or suggestions; and Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time. Skills & Qualifications Requires Class 3 with air brake endorsement; Must have clean driver’s abstract; Minimum 2 years working experience driving with required license preferred; Ability to lift up to 50lbs; The ability to work overtime on an “as-needed” basis, is required; Good command of the English language (both verbal and written); and Experience in the waste and recycling industry or similar industry – an asset.
