The responsibilities encompass the entire plant.Operate under direction of plant supervisionTo obtain directives from Shift SupervisorAssist with non-mechanical duties such as screen installationFollow lockout proceduresObtain, use and maintain PPEObtain, use and maintain assigned Tool KitMake sure work area is safe and free of debrisEnsure that all guards are in place in the immediate work areaWork will be performed as per supervisor’s instructionsAssist plant personnel when needed (i.e. short staffed on production)You are responsible for ensuring all tools that you use get put awayYou are responsible for reporting any dust emissions as well as all fluid spills or leaksKnow, Understand and follow Plant Lockout proceduresImmediately report any unsafe conditions, practices or accident, injury, near miss disputes or concerns and/or other circumstancesQualificationsShould have a high school diploma or equivalentShould have a minimum of 6 months of experience as a LabourerExperience handling mini equipment like a telehandler, backhoePrevious experience of working on a steel mill is an assetAdditional InformationBenefits:Competitive wages, extensive benefits including health, dental, life insurance and RRSP match.We pride ourselves on our company culture and safe working environment.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $32.01 /hour
