Position Overview: The Cash Application Analyst will work with a team responsible for the order to cash process, including credit, collections, billing and cash application. This role is accountable for the accurate and timely application of customer payments, daily reconciliation of bank deposits to cash receipts posting, as well as investigation and resolution of unapplied payments. Key Responsibilities: Daily application of customer payments received via cheque, EFT/EDI, online banking, credit card and pre-authorized debit (PAD), ensuring all cash receipts are accurately recorded and allocated in the applicable accounting period Process customer recurring credit card and pre-authorized debit payments Prepare cheque deposits for various divisions and bank accounts Review Weekly Cash Matching report and reconcile cash receipts to bank deposits Investigate and reconcile payments posted to Unapplied Cash Receipts GL account Identify and post payments posted in Intercompany Transfer Log Perform other accounts receivable related duties and responsibilities as required Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Effective time management and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently and independently Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Team player with positive attitude who takes initiative and has a strong work ethic Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written as well as verbal) with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a professional, competent manner Computer literacy, including effective working skills with Microsoft Office Experience with ERP systems Minimum 3 years’ experience in cash receipt posting, accounts receivable, accounting or a similar role Enrolled in or completed a Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance or related discipline Bilingual (English and French) would be considered an asset Experience in the waste management industry would be considered an asset This is more than a job - it’s your opportunity to be part of something bigger. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office is required, with bilingualism in English and French considered an asset.
