SUMMARY OF POSITION The Press Operator efficiently operates, calibrates and maintains an Indigo HP 200K & HP 25K to ensure excellent quality, machine uptime and that customer expectations are exceeded. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Efficiently sets up machine to maximize uptime & loads rolls of material onto press Regularly calibrates press via color calibration to ensure excellent print quality Confirms job specifications based on job ticket prior to printing Monitors print quality while machine is in production Performs daily and weekly maintenance on press; Notifies Lead Press Operator when equipment needs repair Opens service calls with HP Technical Team as necessary Inputs production, consumption, and waste data into Microsoft NAV (ERP) Supplies printed rolls of film (PE, BOPP, PET etc.) to the lamination department. Responsible for machine upkeep, cleanliness and maintenance with Lead Operator or HP Technical Support team’s assistance. Communicates with Prepress and Converting department when necessary Support other parts of the operations including pouch assistant, slitting, and lamination, if needed Keeps pressroom clean and organized EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION 1+ years of experience in digital printing - HP Indigo presses (HP 20000 & 25000 preferred) Mechanical & mathematical skills required - Ability to read a ruler Computer literacy - complete production related documentation on both computer & paper forms BENEFITS We offer an excellent benefit and compensation package that consists of the following: 15 days (6%) vacation entitlement & Statutory holidays Company paid - Health; Dental; Vision;,Life, ADD, Disability RRSP Plan with generous company match to 3%
