Position Summary Reporting to the Drill & Blast Supervisor, the Driller Helper supports the Driller in all aspects of drilling activities. This role involves working around explosives, preparing blast sites, maintaining equipment, and following strict safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to safe working practices and strives for zero harm. This position is located at the Mine site, working on a 14 days in/14 days out rotation. Accountabilities/Responsibilities Assist the Drillers in the setup, operation, and related equipment. Load, unload, and organize drilling tools, steels, bits and materials at job sites Maintain a clean and safe worksite by following Equinox safety procedures. Perform equipment inspections. Record drilling data and observations as needed. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively Support mobilization and demobilization of drilling equipment to and from job sites. Perform other duties as assigned. Education And Experience Required High school diploma or equivalent, or a considerable amount of experience in a similar role. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varying weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills. Previous experience in drilling, construction, mining, or related field is preferred. Skills And Knowledge Outdoor fieldwork in various weather and terrain conditions. Exposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipment operation. Proven commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Ability to work in a safety-oriented, fast-paced, cross-cultural environment. Strong knowledge of the OHS, mining, and construction regulations. Excellent coordination and driving skills. Excellent communication (oral/written) skills required. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety. Strong team building skills.
