Job Summary Greenstone Mine is seeking a Mining Engineering Co-Op Student to join our team for a temporary 4, 8, or 12-month work-term starting in May 2026. Reporting to the Short-Range Mine Planning Engineer, the Mining Engineering Co-Op is responsible for work in the Drill & Blast engineering group. Key Responsibilities Design drill patterns for our fleet of production drills in Deswik.OPDB Prepare explosives loading instructions for drill patterns Monitor the progress and quality of drilling and loading Design electronic blasting sequences in Dyno’s ViewShot3D Film, document, and evaluate blast results Inspect drill & blast performance in the field Communicate and coordinate between the engineering and operations groups Follow proper document control to ensure information is organized and readily accessible Assist the Short-Range Planning and Survey groups as necessary Prepare plans, drawings, and reports Data entry Required Experience And Skill Set A strong commitment to safety Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English Rigorous attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft 365 office suite software Experience with any computer-aided design (CAD) software, Deswik preferred Ability to work independently as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Previous experience at a mine site is an asset; open-pit, hard rock, and gold mining is preferred Valid driver’s license Job Conditions Strong attention to detail. Able to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions. Microsoft Office proficiency. Certifications Valid driver's license is an asset. The salary range for this position is from $71,890.00 to $87,864.00.
