We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Bookkeeper to join our team in Calgary. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to be part of a collaborative team. About The Role Reporting to the Office Manager, the Intermediate Bookkeeper is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the company. The successful candidate will have strong experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while assisting with cash flow management and month-end processes. Responsibilities Process accounts payable, including invoice verification and payment preparation Manage accounts receivable, collections, customer payments, and account reconciliations Complete daily, weekly, and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Assist with cash flow forecasting and cash management Prepare financial reports and support month-end and year-end procedures Reconcile balance sheet accounts Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation Assist with budgeting and financial analysis as required Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal departments Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies Support other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Business Administration preferred Strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping principles Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Enterprise experience is considered an asset) Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Professional communication skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Assets Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the construction industry, including knowledge of: Progress billing Holdbacks Job costing Construction contracts Lien legislation Multi-project accounting Equipment costing ERP or construction accounting software What We Offer Competitive salary of $55,000-$75,000, based on experience Comprehensive benefits package Paid vacation Professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative team environment If you are a motivated accounting professional looking to grow your career with an established and expanding company, we encourage you to apply.
