Job summary
Overview Languages English Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Experience 3 years to less than 5 years On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work site environment Underground Responsibilities Tasks Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors Perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators or other parts Perform on-site servicing and repair Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records Replace or repair electrical components Additional information Security and safety Driver's validity licence check Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Willing to travel Work conditions and physical capabilities Bending, crouching, kneeling Manual dexterity Fast-paced environment Repetitive tasks Attention to detail Hand-eye co-ordination Combination of sitting, standing, walking Tight deadlines Personal suitability Accurate Excellent oral communication Team player Efficient interpersonal skills Flexibility Organized Benefits Health benefits Dental plan Health care plan
