What you'll be doing Perform all duties in a safe manner and promote a "Safety First" mentality across the team. Safely operate company vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and products to and from industrial and manufacturing locations. Ensure proper load securement on flatbed trailers in accordance with DOT regulations and company standards prior to every trip. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to assist with loading and unloading of freight. Maintain accurate delivery documentation including manifests, bills of lading, and delivery confirmations. Communicate proactively with operations and logistics teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues. Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company driving policies at all times. Maintain a clean driving record and report any traffic violations or incidents to management immediately. Other duties may be assigned as needed. What you'll have High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of driving experience, including operation of 20 to 26-foot box trucks required. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required. Forklift certification or demonstrated forklift experience required. Proven load securement experience in compliance with DOT regulations. Industrial or manufacturing delivery experience strongly preferred. Clean driving record required. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow both written and verbal instructions. Physical requirements and work environment Operates in an active manufacturing facility and various delivery sites. Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions during loading, unloading, and deliveries. Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and moving mechanical parts. Moderate-to-high noise level work environment. Must be able to regularly lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. Safety requirements PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots). Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions. Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, DOT requirements, and internal safety training. Organization: Keep all work areas and vehicle interiors clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
