Work schedule will be a 24hr shift schedule when in Operations role and a 8hr/ day weekday schedule when in Instrumentation role. She/He adheres to the various facets within the Safety, Environmental, Occupational Health and Responsible Care. She/He interacts with Colleagues in a way the reflects Evonik's values of respect and inclusivity. She/he is open to feedback and interacts positively with Mentors (site Manager, Sponsors, Senior Leaders). She/He takes responsibility for the assigned transform (when in Operations) and the facility as a whole. She/he analyzes process samples to maintain process setpoints. She/he contributes to the Nonconformance and event reporting system and contributes towards any required investigations. She/He troubleshoots Instrumentation faults and takes the correct actions to rectify control issues within the plant and process. She/He maintains varies analyzers within the Process. She/He maintains tracking systems and manages contractors that are involved in their area of responsibility. She/He builds and takes ownership of Equipment isolations within the assigned operating unit. REQUIREMENTS Red Seal Instrumentation Technician Certification AND/OR Instrumentation Technologist Diploma. 4th class Power Engineering certifications from ABSA is preferred but school assistance will be provided to attain for the right candidate. Fluent English language skills both orally and written. Interest in a long term career in the Industrial Production and Technology field. Must be willing and comfortable in a 24hr shift environment. Must have experience troubleshootng basic control devices including temperature, pressure and level control systems. Must have experience working with gas analyzers. Must have good understanding of PID loops. Must have experience working with Microsoft Office products (Word/excel). Comfortable with communicating with third party vendors for support. Maintains a strong sense of responsibility for the Instrumentation office and the facilities upkeep.
