If you enjoy bringing structure to complex processes, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want your work to contribute to something bigger—this is the role for you. 🕘 Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (75 hours biweekly) 🔍 What You’ll Do: * Lead and oversee all aspects of full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, and reconciliations. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting packages. * Support the development and coordination of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. * Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, funding agreements, and organizational policies. * Coordinate year-end audit activities and act as a key liaison with external auditors. * Oversee accounting and reporting for grants, restricted funds, and funding agreements. * Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, systems, and efficiencies. * Provide financial analysis and guidance to operational leaders and support organizational decision-making. * Lead, coach, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. ✅ What You Bring: * CPA designation required. * Minimum five years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including at least two to three years of formal supervisory or people-management responsibility. Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. * Working knowledge of Canadian accounting standards applicable to not-for-profit organizations is required; direct not-for-profit or government-funded accounting experience is strongly preferred. Advanced proficiency with financial management systems, and Microsoft 365 applications. * Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and staff development experience. * Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. * Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics. * Satisfactory Criminal Record Check. * Ready to bring your skills to a team that makes a difference every day?
