We are presently seeking an HR Generalist II who is an integral member of a high‑performing team, the Human Resources Generalist (HRG) provides strategic and hands‑on HR support to advance Excelitas Canada Inc. business objectives. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist partners with leaders and employees to support informed people decisions, reinforce performance expectations, and drive accountability. This role champions a high‑performance culture while ensuring HR programs, policies, and practices are applied consistently and in alignment with business priorities. This position is an on-site role based out of the Mississauga office. Main Responsibilities: Employee Relations & HR Support: Service as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures and employment related inquiries. Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including performance management, attendance, workplace issues and conflict resolution. Assist in the organizing of corporate events. Responsible for physical and electronic file system. Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, offers and pre-employment checks. Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a positive employee experience. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and support workforce planning. Compensation, Benefits, Payroll and HR Administration: Administer employee benefits programs and serve as liaison with benefits providers and payroll. Support compensation processes, including offers, job changes, promotions, and off-cycle adjustments. Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems and ensure data integrity. Enter and maintain employee data in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, job changes, and compensation updates. Generate and distribute standard payroll reports. Serve as payroll back-up support for Montreal site. HR Projects & Continuous Improvement: Participate in HR initiatives and projects such as engagement, DEI, wellness, and process improvement. Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices, payroll accuracy, and employee experience. Perform additional HR‑related duties as assigned. Policies, Compliance & HR Programs: Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and internal controls. Support the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures. Assist with audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements. Support the execution of Excelitas Global HR strategies, policies, procedures, and programs to sustain continued growth and retention in alignment with Excelitas high performance culture. Requirements: A completed University or College degree/diploma in Human Resources. Minimum of 3-6 years of HR experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong knowledge in HR Systems (UltiPro, SAP Success Factors). Working knowledge of HR policies, procedures and processes. Working knowledge of recruiting practices. Must possess strong organizational skills and demonstrate accurate attention to detail. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be a team player and able to get along with individuals from other groups in the organization. Experience working in an ISO9001, 14001, 13485 certified, and/or FDA QSR compliant environment is an asset.
