This is a field-based role—not an office job—with performance-based commission and mileage reimbursement. Role Description The Business Development Representative – Construction & Engineering is a remote, contract role responsible for driving new business opportunities and expanding client relationships within the construction and engineering sectors. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and qualifying leads, conducting outreach via phone, email, and online channels, and presenting EEB Inc.’s design services to prospective commercial and residential clients. The role involves managing a sales pipeline, coordinating discovery calls, preparing basic sales proposals, and following up on inquiries to move opportunities through the sales cycle. The representative will collaborate with internal engineering and design teams to align client needs with service offerings, maintain accurate records in CRM tools, and provide market feedback to support strategic planning. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Inside Sales and Lead Generation for identifying, qualifying, and nurturing prospective clients. Candidates should possess strong Communication and Sales skills to conduct effective outreach, deliver service presentations, and close opportunities. Candidates should possess Business Development skills to build long-term client relationships and support growth in the construction and engineering markets. Experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or related professional services is highly beneficial. Proficiency with online research tools, and standard office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations). Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and meet activity and revenue targets. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to pipeline and account management. Post-secondary education in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field is an asset but not required if equivalent experience is demonstrated.
