Your work environment at EXP In this role, you will be a part of the Mining Team, based in Sudbury or North Bay, ON office. What a day at EXP has in store for you * PLC, Power, Automation and instrumentation mining experience required. * Responsible for meeting firm's engineering quality levels of discipline on assigned projects. * Oversees development of design concepts by Designers, and ensure proper application and execution. * Verifies Designer’s work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings. * Responsible for applying the EXP’s risk management practices of electrical engineering. * Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering. * Encourages collaboration to seek the best solutions. * Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours. * Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination. * Perform front-end loading of Electrical systems for projects. * Contributes to revisions of EXP’s design standards and master specifications. * Evaluates Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk. * Edits and develops the basis of design narratives documenting the project scope. * Develops electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, etc. * Participates in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviews. What your experience looks like * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University. * Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) within the province is mandatory. * At least 6 years of experience in the mining or industrial industry. This job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization. The salary range for this role is between $90K - $119K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
