Cyber Security Engineer

Job Title: Security Specialist (Intermediate) – Cloud Security / DevSecOps Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months with possibility of extension Pay: $45/hr T4 or $60/hr INC Requirement – Minimum 5–8 years of experience in cyber security, with extensive exposure to security operations, vulnerability management, or DevSecOps programs. Proven experience developing and executing a Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) or advanced vulnerability management program, including continuous discovery of exposures, threat scenario analysis, attack-path mapping, and risk-based prioritization of remediation actions. Strong DevSecOps experience, with hands-on implementation of secure CI/CD pipeline practices, including integration of SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC security scanning, and container security scanning in collaboration with development and DevOps teams. Strong cloud security expertise across AWS and Azure, including practical knowledge of cloud-native security controls such as IAM, Network Security Groups (NSGs), logging and monitoring, encryption, and cloud threat detection services including AWS GuardDuty and Microsoft Defender for Cloud / Microsoft Sentinel. In-depth experience implementing and operating Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) or Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) solutions (e.g., Prisma Cloud or similar) to continuously assess and improve cloud security posture. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation, reports, and executive-level summaries. Qualifications: Primary focus areas include: 1. Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) Responsibilities include: * Threat exposure analysis * Validation of remediation efforts * Risk-based prioritization * Leveraging AI or automation where possible 2. Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) Responsibilities include: * Implementing and improving CSPM capabilities * Working with cloud security platforms * Supporting vulnerability management * Enhancing cloud security controls * Leading implementation of new cloud security technologies 3. DevSecOps Candidate should have: * Strong operational DevSecOps experience * Security automation experience * Ability to deliver hands-on technical outcomes This role is focused on execution rather than oversight. Required Experience:- Cyber Defence Operations, DevSecOps, Cloud Security Continuous Threat Exposure Management DevSecOps, Cloud Security Posture Management, AWS Cloud Security Strong AWS expertise is preferred. Azure experience is beneficial but secondary. Certifications Preferred but not mandatory: * CISSP * DevSecOps certifications * Other relevant cloud security certifications
