The opportunity: EY’s multidisciplinary Incentives and Capital Investments team, specializes in credits and grants related to discretionary incentives, sustainability, and capital investments as well as scientific research and experimental development – SRED. We are a dynamic, multidisciplinary group of tax, audit and science and technology professionals who work with companies of all sizes in a variety of industries to help them maximize their tax benefits and achieve their business objectives. We’re looking for an experienced Manager with a technology background, ideally in software development or telecommunications, to deliver advisory services to our clients in Ontario. Your key responsibilities: As a Business Tax Incentives Manager, you will lead a team of engineers and data scientists and support diverse clients, from entrepreneurs to public corporations, in evaluating and preparing their SRED claims. Using your knowledge in telecommunications, AI, cybersecurity, and software development, you will guide your team to deliver client value. Your role includes collaborating with CTOs, Chief Architects, and Developers to assess funding eligibility, quantify claims, and craft detailed technical project descriptions highlighting innovation and development activities. This position is ideal for candidates with a computer science background and experience in the technology field who seek to expand their career into the business and financial aspects of the industry. Skills and attributes for success Advanced knowledge of telecommunications, software development, cybersecurity, cloud computing, AI and machine learning technologies. Strong project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to consistently meet tight deadlines The ability to think creatively, innovate and deliver value-added solutions to client issues. Excellent interpersonal skills along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality work. Qualifications A Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related discipline. An MBA credential is an asset. 5 or more years relevant experience. Previous practical experience with the SRED program is strongly preferred. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or computer science discipline with at least 5 years of experience. Practical experience with the SRED program is strongly preferred.
