Location: Surrey, British Columbia Job type: Full-time, permanent Pay: $80,000 – $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus up to 20% performance-based bonus About The Company Our client is a vertically integrated commercial glazing fabricator and installer. They deliver curtain wall, window wall, storefront, and entrance systems on institutional, commercial, and high-rise residential projects across BC. About The Role This is an estimating role with a client-facing edge. You’ll spend most of your time preparing competitive bids, and the rest representing the company to general contractors, consultants, and owners. They’re looking for someone with a solid technical glazing background and the personality to sit across the table from a customer. The rest they’ll train. Day-to-day Responsibilities Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify scope, exclusions, and risk Perform takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates for curtain wall, window wall, storefront, and entrance systems Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subtrades Prepare and submit bid packages, RFIs, and clarification letters within tender deadlines Maintain the bid log and keep opportunity records current in the CRM Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks Follow up on submitted bids and track outcomes Price change order requests and review changes submitted by project managers Hand off awarded estimates to the project management team with a clear scope, budget, and assumption summary Review ongoing project margins and adjust bid assumptions accordingly Client-facing Responsibilities Attend sales meetings alongside the President to walk customers through tenders and scope Represent the company at 8 to 10 industry events per year Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, architects, and consultants Identify new bid opportunities through existing relationships What We’re Looking For Commercial glazing experience, hands-on or technical Approximately five years of estimating experience preferred Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills Outgoing, professional, and comfortable presenting to clients Sales aptitude, or the willingness to develop it Excellent computer proficiency (Excel, takeoff and estimating software, CRM) Ability to manage multiple bids against competing deadlines What’s Offered Training and development in areas outside your current experience Direct exposure to ownership and the senior leadership team Competitive compensation, with up to 20% performance-based bonus for hitting annual quotas/targets Apply now First Name Last Name Email Address Phone Number Covering Letter If you don't have OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox installed on your device, you will need to upload documents via a desktop machine, or laptop.
