Work closely with the Department Manager to execute departmental strategies and achieve stated goals and performance objectives. Support team development through training, coaching, motivation, and recognition while maintaining a high level of trust, confidentiality, and professionalism. Lead regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, exchange product knowledge, and provide meaningful feedback to build engagement and connection. Support daily operations by ensuring outstanding customer service, accurate merchandising and rotation, adequate staffing coverage, and consistent department cleanliness. Provide office and administrative support, including inventory management, ordering, invoicing, schedule maintenance, and payroll functions. Promote compliance with all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations to maintain a safe and high-quality shopping environment. Contribute to store success by assisting with other related duties as required. Qualifications What you bring to the table. We provide the opportunity, and you bring the potential. Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment by effectively managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of performance. Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills supported by a clear, professional communication style. Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems, with prior experience working with a variety of computer software programs. Thrive in a hands-on setting that involves extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions. Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset. What we bring to the table.
