Emerging Technology & Venture Capital Associate – (3rd or 4th Year Call) Fasken is a leading Canadian law firm for emerging technology and venture capital. We are deeply involved in the startup ecosystem, partnering with prominent incubators, accelerators, universities, and private and public research programs across North America. Fasken is seeking a motivated Associate to join its Emerging Technology & Venture Capital Group in Toronto, advising emerging companies, founders and investors on venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. Our ideal candidate will be a 3rd or 4th year lawyer with demonstrated experience in corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and growth equity financings, and general corporate and commercial matters. Experience advising emerging and high-growth companies throughout their lifecycle, from formation through financing, strategic transactions and exits, will be considered a strong asset. The successful candidate will work closely with founders, investors and technology companies across a broad range of industries, including software, artificial intelligence, fintech, healthtech and other emerging sectors. The role offers exposure to sophisticated transactions, direct client contact, significant responsibility and excellent opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. The expected pay range for this role is $180,000 - $230,000 per annum. Compensation to be commensurate with experience.
